What a class looks like
What we do
A warm-up, three or four lifts or band exercises at your level, and a cool-down. The instructor sets the weight and counts with you.
What decides how it progresses
What your physical therapist has noted, what you can do well, and how you feel after each class. We change the work as you change.
Who teaches you
A strength instructor, with a physical therapist who wrote your starting plan nearby.
Meet the teamHow it is paid for
Classes are paid for separately from physical therapy visits and are not billed to your plan.
How fees work
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
Questions about this care
How do I know I am ready for a class?
Your physical therapist or your surgeon decides when a class is right for you. If you have not had physical therapy, we start with a short visit.
Do I need to bring weights?
No. The studio has what you need, and the instructor sets it up for you.
What if I am sore the next day?
Tell the instructor at your next class. They adjust what you do. If anything worries you, check with your physician.
